In This Regard ENVIS-NBRI Organised a Cleanliness Mission from 25th September to 2nd October 2014.
1. 25-26 September 2014
Lab Cleaning
The ENVIS-NBRI led a Cleanliness Programme in Eco-Auditing Lab. All students of the lab cleaned their work place and lab. Waste materials, reagents, chemicals, paper, files etc. were discarded. Chemicals were arranged alphabetically.
2. 27 September 2014
Talking to Public
ENVIS-NBRI Co-ordinator Dr. Nandita Singh with ENVIS team organised a Campaign at Ganga Sagar Apartment and Narhi Sabji Mandi. Dr. Singh took a class of the vegetable vendors and made them aware of the cleanliness and how they can contribute towards it through simple efforts. She also instructed the Nagar Nigam officers to place bins near the mandi. She gave message to the public for their individual participation to clean their locality.

Vermicompost Training
How we can use plant waste or residues as a manure? This is a very important step towards cleaning the degradable waste. Dr. Pankaj Srivastava , Scientist CSIR-NBRI gave a training on Vermicompost to student. He demonstrated the vermicomposting process.

Door To Door Campaigning
Door to Door Campaigning were undertaken by ENVIS Team along with Eco-Auditing Lab students and Nagar Nigam personnel to aware Public for Clean India Mission and the disposal method being adopted by Nagar Nigam.
5. 1 October 2014
School Training
A training for Cleanliness was organised at Saraswati Prathmic Vidyalaya in Lucknow. ENVIS team made the students aware of harms caused by plastic, glass, bags, bottles etc. All Students were advised to reduce plastic waste, use dustbin and clean their work place. The students volunteered themselves to clean the classes.

Pledge
Dr. Nandita Singh led a Cleanliness Pledge Drive in NBRI, All member of Eco-auditing Lab assembled under the old Bargad tree before the saint staue and took Pledge that “They will not Dirty the Place , nor will they let it be Dirtied.” The Pledge was taken individually.
