The ENVIS-NBRI, Lucknow has organised an event at University of Lucknow on 11th September 2017 for the celebration of World Ozone Day during the week of 11-16 Sep. 2017. About 61 students and all the faculty members from the Departments of Botany, Plant Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Microbiology participated in the event. The programme started with the presentation on ENVIS-NBRI and ENVIS Programme of MoEF&CC, GoI.
A presentation on “30th Anniversary of the Montreal Protocol (1987-2017)” was further given by the ENVIS-NBRI Coordinator Dr. Pankaj Kumar Srivastava to the students and faculty. Videos related to Ozone Hole “Caring for all life under the sun” and Address of Chief, UNEP were also displayed. A quiz was organized for the students on the theme of Ozone Layer Protection. After this one hour programme, the vote of thanks was given by Professor Seshu Lavania Head, Department of Botany, University of Lucknow and Secretary, Indian Botanical Society).
The programme ended with the interactive display of educational posters presented by ENVIS-NBRI team.
