Farmer's Interaction Programme

TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR BETELVINE GROWERS

 

 

Under  the CSIR-RURAL Development Programme, a Farmer’s Interaction programme was organized on March 28, 2014 at Mahoba. Around 250 farmers attended the programme, meant to disseminate the advance technology of betelvine production in modern bareja and role of biofertilizers in agriculture among the farmers. The full day programme was coordinated by Dr.SK Tewari, Scientist with Drs.PS Chauhan, Devendra singh, RC Nainwal, SK Ojha and Mr. SK Sharma. Dr. SK Tewari described the detail of Modern Bareja and its beneficial aspects regarding the cultivation of betelvine to the gathering of farmers. Later, Dr. PS Chauhan, gave a lecture on the use of biofertilizers and its benefit in agriculture. He also demonstrated the use of different biofertilizers in different crops. Training kit,PSB bags and betelvine planting material and literature related to use of bio-fertilizers and cultivation of betelvine were distributed among the farmers.
