ENVIS-RP-NBRI Celebrated “Earth Day-2022” (22nd April 2022)
On this occasion, ENVIS-RP-NBRI celebrated ‘Earth Day-2022’ on 22nd April 2022 at Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPF Bijnaur, Lucknow.
A Series of Events have been organized to celebrate Earth Day. An interactive lecture has delivered by Dr. Anju Patel, Co-coordinator, ENVIS-RP-NBRI on “Invest in Our Planet” to the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPF Bijnaur, Lucknow.
Students also take a pledge to avoid single-use plastic, save water and protect trees. Students became aware that this is the high time to act, innovate, and implement a sustainable way of living and also protect our Earth.
Mr. Sunil Tripathi, Sr. Programme Officer interacted with the students and gave a detailed account of the “Green Planner App” developed by ENVIS-RP-NBRI including information about air pollution mitigating plants for different premises viz; Road Side, Road Divider, Indoor and Greenbelt.
ENVIS-RP-NBRI Team also conducted drawing and quiz competitions related to Earth Day-2022. Students were very enthusiastic and gained information regarding planet Earth.
At the end of the event, ENVIS-RP-NBRI team members, Mr. Diwakar Saini, Information Officer and Ms. Kaneez Fatma, IT-Officer distributed the ENVIS-RP-NBRI brochures, and issues of newsletters related to different topics send brief information on the ENVIS-RP-NBRI website.
Mr. Manoj Verma, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPF Bijnaur, Lucknow also addressed the students and motivate students toward sustainable living practices.
A total of 67 students have registered themselves to take knowledge and resolve their queries.
